A diverse collection of more than 45,000 art objects and works of cultural significance, the Spencer is the only comprehensive art museum in the state of Kansas and serves more than 100,000 visitors annually.

In 2015, the Spencer Museum of Art launched Phase I of a major renovation that transformed nearly 30,000 square feet of the building.

The acquisition of new display cases was part of the project.

Some are now used to present potteries, glass and ceramic decorative art, while others are used to display 19th century and Faberge jewelry items.

Challenge

The Spencer was looking for high-end conservation cases with anti-reflective glazing that would blend and disappear in the environment and contribute to an optimal visibility the displayed objects.

They were also looking for flexibility, with the possibility to use the cases for changing exhibitions.

Our Solutions

Our ZM-101 modular cases were the ideal solution to display their large collection of decorative art.

A glass hanging system was included to add more display surface. Collapsible and storable, these cases use a thin white frame that easily blends into the museum environment.

Beautiful wall cases were also provided to display their 19th century and Faberge jewelry collection.
